How to print glossy silicone?
Screen printing steps
Step1
Mixing 100g the glossy silicone XG-399-3 with 3g catalyst XG-866B-2,10-15g silicone thinner/reducer.
Step2
After screen printing color silicone ink,you can start screen printing glossy silicone.When you are printing glossy ink,please stop baking the silicone ink.You need wait for several minutes to let the glossy silicone flow thoroughly.
Step3
Baking temperature:100-120℃
Surface dry/cure need 10 seconds.
When you finish screen printing glossy silicone ink XG-399-3,please place the printed garment in oven or tunnel oven to bake the silicone ink curing thoroughly.
Step4
Please do wash test in 48hours.
How to solve the delamination of glossy silicone ink during screen printing?
The silicone ink is delaminated because of two reasons.
One reason is that you print too much glossy silicone ink.You only print 1-2 layers of silicone ink.Every print of silicone ink is to push the squeegee two times.When you print the glossy ink,please push the squeegee lightly.Let the glossy silicone ink flow slowly.You will print the glossy silicone with 3D print.
Second reason is that the color silicone ink is not cured.Because the high density silicone ink XG-866 series are low heat cure .When you mix 100g silicone ink base XG-866 series with 3g catalyst XG-866B-2,10g color pigment,you need bake every printing silicone ink layer for surface cure/dry.The color pigment cann'be to add more in the silicone ink base.Otherwise,the color silicone ink is not cured.Your glossy silicone will be delamination.
