Using silicone ink in screen printing requires some tips. Let's share some experiences:
1. Transparent layer printing:
When using XG-866AH high-density silicone ink, master the formula of the transparent layer well. Adding 3 grams of XG-866B-2 catalyst and 10 grams of XG-128AH silica gel reducing agent can ensure the printing effect and ink stability.
2. Color layer printing:
In the color layer printing, fully mix 3 grams of XG-866B-2 catalyst and 10 grams of XG-128AH silica gel reducing agent, as well as 10 grams of reflective silicone pigment. It is recommended to perform a flash treatment before each print, using a flash temperature of 100°C for 10 seconds.
3. Glossy layer printing:
For glossy layer printing, add 10 grams of XG-MB-1 catalyst and 10 grams of XG-128AH silica gel reducing agent to 100 grams of XG-399-2 silica gel ink. It is recommended to use one or two coats of glossy silicone ink. After screen printing, flash within five minutes.
4. Baking process:
Place the printed garment in a closed oven and bake at 100-110°C for five to ten minutes. This ensures ink curing and adhesion. If a sealed oven is not available, you can also use a tabletop oven for flash drying.
5. Application scope:
Silicone inks are widely used in the textile industry, including T-shirts, hoodies, sportswear, swimwear, etc. Screen printing is the most suitable printing technology for these products.
