How to print silicone ink on band?
Before we decide to print silicone ink,we need check the band material.If the band contains the elastic rubber,it's very difficulty for you to bake the silicone ink for surface dry.Hence,it's bad sticky force.The silicone ink cann't pass wash test.In the screen printing,it's called silicone poisoning.The sulfide in the ribbon evaporates and causes the silicone catalyst to age.YR silicone has the silicone product for elastic rubber band.It's self-drying silicone.After screen printing silicone ink on band,it is able to be cured at room temperature.YR silicone recommends you self-drying silicone XG-20S-1,glossy silicone XG-399-2,matte silicone XG-136M-1.Its ratio:10:1.It means that you add 100g silicone ink base with 10g catalyst.If you need print red design,you can 10% red pigment XG-302 in the silicone ink base.If you think the viscosity of silicone ink is very high,not easy for you to print,you can add 10% silicone thinner XG-128AH.
It's well-known that the band has many kinds,such as polyester band,nylon band,cotton blender band.When you print silicone ink on polyester band and nylon band,you can print primer on band before screen printing self-drying silicone .The primer can improve the sticky force.
Screen printing steps:
*Making screen plate:120Mesh-48T.
*Making rubber squeegee:65-75°
*Mixing primer:if the band is cotton blender,you needn't print the primer.
*Mixing self-drying silicone:Product number XG-20S-1.Add 100g XG-20S-1 with 10g slow catalyst XG-MB-1,10g silicone thinner XG-128AH.
*Print color:Add 100g XG-20S-1 with 10g slow catalyst XG-MB-1,10g green color XG-601,10g silicone thinner XG-128AH.We recommend you print 10 times .If you need high thickness,you can print more times.
*Print glossy silicone: Product number XG-399-2.Add 100g XG-399-2 with 10g slow catalyst XG-MB-1,10g silicone thinner XG-128AH.
*After screen printing glossy silicone,please place printed product in shelf 48hours.It's able to be cured.If you need fast dry,you can bake it at 80℃,1hour.
