Emboss printing is a technique that is widely used in various industries for creating raised or 3D designs on different surfaces. This method is often used to give a unique and stylish look to products or to add texture to different materials.Nowdays, most of factories use the emboss printing on fabric, clothes, such t shirts, hoodie, skirt.
In this article, we will discuss the process of emboss printing, the machines required for this process, and the different materials that can be used for emboss printing.
Process of Emboss Printing
Emboss printing is a relatively simple process that involves pressing a design onto a surface to create a raised pattern or texture. This is achieved by using a die or a mold with a design that is then stamped onto the surface.Factories often use the emboss machine. There are liquid press and air press machine for emboss printing. It's well-known that the liquid press machine can be much larger pressure than air press machine. The most important advantage is that the liquid press machine can keep the same pressure every time when you set up the pressure data. But the air press machine is instability.Hence, the air press machine cann't make the emboss pritning with the same quality every time.
YR silicone recommends you order the liquid press machine with two working heads for emboss printing. You can arrange two workers to operate the machine for emboss printing. It's high productivity. The working head is ideal for t shirt, hoodie, etc.

Before the printing process can begin, a design is created using specialized software such as Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW. Then, the design is converted into a mold or a die that can be used in the printing process. The mold is made of aluminum. You'd better use the Telfon coating for father mold. The Telfon coating can improve the demoulding performance.

Once the mold is created, it is placed on the embossing machine. You need use the embossing silicone ink to stick the molds. You can use one squeegee or small blade to brush the silicone ink for embossing print on molds. Then, you put the embossed mold on lower machine and demossed mold on upper machine. You set up the temperature at 180℃ for upper and 120℃ for lower. You need heat the working station. After that, you put the molds with silicone ink on backside on the heat station and start the embossing machine, and press 12-20 seconds.
After screen printing the embossing silicone ink on t shirt, hoodie,or skirts with 100mesh screen, you put the the clothes on father mold, pressure is applied to the mold, which transfers the design onto the surface, resulting in a raised image or text. The pressure applied during the embossing process can vary depending on the material being printed on and the desired outcome. If your design is large, you need use large pressure, you can adjust the pressure from 2T-8T.Meanwhile,you adjust the press time from 12-20 seconds.
Machines Required for Emboss Printing
To achieve the best results, emboss printing requires specialized equipment. The two types of machines used for emboss printing are manual and hydraulic machines.
A manual machine is perfect for smaller jobs and can be operated by hand. This machine is simple to use and requires no electricity.
On the other hand, a hydraulic machine is used for larger jobs and requires electricity to operate. This machine is more expensive than a manual machine but is ideal for jobs that require a consistent level of pressure.
Materials Used for Emboss Printing
Emboss printing can be applied to a wide range of materials, including paper, fabric, leather, plastic, and metal. Depending on the material, different processes and techniques may be required to achieve the desired results.
For instance, when printing on paper, the use of heat or pressure is required to create the raised texture. When printing on fabric, materials such as lycra or spandex are used to achieve a stretchy and raised design. The silicone ink for emboss printing is two parts, clear paste. You need mix silicone ink base with catalyst by ratio 10:1.The silicone ink base is packed by 20kg/bucket.YR silicone can help you pack 5kg/plastic bucket.Catalyst is packed with 1 kg/bottle.

Emboss printing is not limited to just clothing; it can also be used to create unique textures on other products like business cards, invitations, book covers, and packaging. In fact, emboss printing is often used by businesses to enhance their branding and make their products stand out.
Conclusion
Emboss printing is a technique that has been around for a long time and is still widely used today. This method of printing can create unique and stunning designs on different surfaces and materials. It is a versatile and cost-effective printing technique that can be used for a wide range of products and applications.
With the right software, equipment, and materials, anyone can use emboss printing to add texture and depth to their creations. Whether you are a small business owner looking to enhance your branding, or an individual looking to add a personal touch to your projects, emboss printing is a fantastic option to consider.
