The transfer printing process is a printing method for achieving high-quality patterns on textiles. This process achieves a printing effect with bright colors and clear details by first printing the pattern on a special carrier and then transferring the pattern to the surface of the textile.
Process steps:
Designing a Pattern: First you need to create the desired pattern, this can be a design of various colors, complexity and sizes.
Printing onto a carrier: The pattern is printed onto a special transfer paper or film, usually made of paper or polymer, that effectively absorbs and transfers the pigment to the textile.
Heat transfer: The textile and the transfer carrier are passed through a device of heating and pressure, so that the pigment on the carrier is vaporized at high temperature and transferred to the surface of the textile. This step is called heat transfer and its purpose is to firmly transfer the pattern to the textile.
Cooling and Curing: Once the transfer is complete, the textile needs to cool while the pigments solidify on the fibers to ensure the pattern is stable and durable.
